What Is The Difference Between 1st Gen Itouch And 2nd Gen?
What are the differences between the 1st generation ipod touch and the 2nd generation? I am searching to buy an itouch and I’ve noticed the 1st gen itouches are so much cheaper.

Different design. The 2nd gen itouch has a much sleeker design than the 1st Gen. They are both pretty much the same otherwise.

i have a 1st generation and my mom just got a 2nd generation. hers is a little bit thinner and it has a built in speaker, so it will play music even if you don’t have headphones in. it’s kinda stupid though, because ipods are made to be hand held, like with headphones… there are also 2 buttons on the side that the 1st generation doesn’t have, but i’m not sure what they do…
they run the same though- they both hold apps and movies, videos, games, have internet…
i would buy the 1st generation because it’s so much cheaper and they’re basically the same.

The only big difference is that the second gen has speakers and is more tough to hack.

If i had to choose between the 1st gen and the 2nd gen, i would choose the 1st gen becuz its cheaper and easier to jailbreak but the 2nd gen is hard to hack plus even though it has speakers they arn’t that loud after all so i would suggest the best bet wud be 1st gen iTouch.
